Under the hood of every new Tiguan is a turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 engine that produces 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available. Opting for all-wheel drive eliminates the third row of seats.
Tiguan Design & Interior
Even with a compact crossover design, the Tiguan has three rows of seats for up to seven passengers. When you need to transport your belongings, you can find 12 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats and up to 65.3 cubic feet with both rows of rear seats folded down. Standard interior features include heated front seats, cloth upholstery, and manually adjustable front seats.
Tiguan Technology & Safety
The Tiguan infotainment system includes a standard 6.5-inch touchscreen display. You can upgrade to an available eight-inch touchscreen. Standard Android Auto™ & Apple CarPlay® let you connect your smartphone to the infotainment system. Six speakers are standard, while a nine-speaker Fender premium audio system is available.
Standard Tiguan safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot intervention, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and emergency unresponsive driver assist.
