Performance
Two powertrain options are available for the new ID.4. Models with a single electric motor offer rear-wheel drive and a 58.0-kWh battery that produces 201 horsepower. While models with the larger 77.0-kWh battery and two electric motors provides all-wheel-drive and 330 hp.
At present, there is no info on the range of the 58.0-kWh battery. But previous models had a range of 209 miles. However, we do know that models with the 77.0-kWh have increased EPA-estimated driving range. The all-wheel-drive version is rated at 263 miles, and the rear-drive models get around 291 miles.
Exterior/Interior Design
From the outside, the ID.4 looks like a typical SUV. It even has a grille of sorts on the bottom of the car to help distinguish itself from other EV models. Where the design shines, though, is in its cabin. Inside, you'll find a contemporary design with high-tech features, ambient lighting, and generous cargo space. The standard front seats are cloth and are heated, but higher trims like the Pro S offer faux-leather upholstery and 12-way power-adjustable front seats. The ID. 4's cargo area is quite spacious, with room for eight carry-on suitcases and 26 total with the rear seats folded.
Technology
The new ID.4 has a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, though a 12.9-inch display is optional. The infotainment interface comes standard with navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. All ID.4 also feature a 5.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge display and voice-recognition capability.
Safety
The electrified ID.4 offers a host of standard and optional driver-assistance technology. The base model features a lane-keeping system, forward collision mitigation, and an automated parking system. While higher trims have a heated windshield and a 360-degree camera system.
